Home / General
Q: What is Care For People?
A: Care For People Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider (NDIS Provider No. 4050147957). We hold NDIS registration and partner with care providers, independent support workers, and allied health professionals through a licensing / Provider Partner model — so they can deliver fully registered, compliant NDIS services under our registration.
Q: Is Care For People a registered NDIS provider?
A: Yes. Care For People is a registered NDIS provider, audited against the NDIS Practice Standards by an approved quality auditor and recognised by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registered Australia-wide.
Q: What areas does Care For People cover?
A: We work with Agency Managed participants across Australia, spanning 13 NDIS service registration groups (core supports, allied health, support coordination, and accommodation-related supports).
Q: How do I contact Care For People?
A: Email manager@careforpeopleinc.com.au or call 0475 898 632. Office: Level 1/ 457-459 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010.
For Participants
Q: Can I keep my current support worker if my NDIS plan becomes Agency Managed?
A: Yes. If your plan moves to Agency Managed, you can usually keep the workers you trust — Care For People onboards your worker or provider as a Provider Partner so they deliver your supports under our NDIS registration. Same faces, now fully registered, no disruption to your care.
Q: My provider isn't NDIS registered — can they still support me on an Agency Managed plan?
A: Agency Managed supports can only be claimed by a registered provider. Care For People lets your unregistered provider or independent worker deliver to you legally by working under our registration as a Provider Partner.
Q: Do I have to change support workers to use Care For People?
A: No. The whole point is continuity — you keep your existing workers; we register them under our provider licence so nothing about your day-to-day support changes.
Q: What does it cost a participant to use Care For People?
A: Your supports are delivered under your NDIS plan funding at NDIS price limits — NDIS supports are GST-free. Contact us for specifics about your situation.
Q: How do I start with Care For People as a participant?
A: Tell us about your current worker/provider (or the support you're looking for), sign one simple service agreement with Care For People, we complete the compliance checks, and your supports continue as fully registered NDIS services.
Q: How do I switch or change my NDIS provider mid-plan?
A: You can change your NDIS provider at any time with no lock-in. Notify your current provider in writing (email is fine), have your new provider such as Care For People start the service agreement, and tell your Plan Manager or the NDIA if you are Agency Managed.
For Provider Partners
Q: Can an unregistered provider work with Agency Managed NDIS participants?
A: Not directly — only a registered provider can claim for Agency Managed participants. By licensing under Care For People as a Provider Partner, an unregistered provider or independent worker can legally deliver to, and invoice for, Agency Managed participants from day one — under our registration.
Q: How is licensing under Care For People different from getting my own NDIS registration?
A: Your own registration can take many months and a full certification audit. Licensing as a Provider Partner lets you deliver under our registration now, keep your own business, brand and clients, while we carry the registration-holder compliance and audit load. You can still pursue your own registration later.
Q: Do I keep my own business and clients as a Provider Partner?
A: Yes. You keep your business identity, your brand, your team and your clients. You deliver under our NDIS registration; we handle registration-holder oversight.
Q: What types of providers can become Care For People Provider Partners?
A: Support businesses, independent support workers, and allied health professionals (e.g. OT, physio, speech pathology, psychology, nursing).
Q: Do I need to be registered to serve Self-Managed or Plan Managed participants?
A: No — Self-Managed and Plan Managed participants can engage unregistered providers, with custody exceptions including SIL. Registration is only mandatory for Agency Managed participants and for Supported Independent Living (SIL) from 1 July 2026. Self-Managed participants pay you directly; Plan Managers pay your invoices at NDIS price limits.
Q: How do I become a Care For People Provider Partner?
A: Enquire and tell us about your business; we review your supports, team and qualifications; you sign the Provider Partner Agreement and company licence; then you start delivering fully registered NDIS services under our registration.
Q: What does mandatory NDIS SIL registration from 1 July 2026 mean for providers and participants?
A: From 1 July 2026, all Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers must be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. If your SIL provider is unregistered, they cannot claim your SIL support after this date. You have options: encourage them to register, or ask Care For People to onboard them as a Provider Partner so they can deliver registered SIL without disruption.
NDIS Services
Q: What NDIS services does Care For People cover?
A: We cover 13 registration groups across core supports (daily living, personal care, community access, transport, household tasks), allied health/therapeutic supports, support coordination, and accommodation-related supports — Australia-wide.
Q: Does Care For People offer Plan Management?
A: No. Care For People does not provide Plan Management. Plan Managed remains a valid participant funding choice via a third-party plan manager — that is separate from Care For People's services.
Q: Are NDIS supports through Care For People GST-free?
A: Yes — NDIS supports are GST-free (coded P2 in NDIS pricing). No GST is added.
Q: Do I pay extra out of my NDIS plan to use Care For People?
A: No extra participant cost. Your supports are paid from your NDIS plan funding at NDIS price limits set by the NDIA. The NDIA or your Plan Manager pays providers directly — so it costs you the same as any other NDIS provider.
Q: How much do NDIS supports cost?
A: Supports are charged within the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (maximum price limits set by the NDIA, updated each financial year). Ask us for an estimate for your plan.
